The main goal of the Information Management group is to help driving the vision of ubiquitous smart objects. We emphasize on solving problems that emerge from the implementation of this vision in a real world environment.
We focus on information management issues in a ubiquitously networked world. Our field of interest also includes the dynamics of information systems in conjunction with business processes and real world problems. Therefore, we derive our research topics from current and future business challenges.
We conduct our research as a partner in the M-Lab, a joint research project of ETH Zürich, University St. Gallen and several leading companies. The M-Lab is part of an international network of Auto-ID Labs with the sibling-labs MIT (USA), Cambridge University (UK), Keio University (Japan), Fudan University (China), Information and Communications University (Korea) and the University of Adelaide (Australia).
