Stefan Zanetti graduated in natural sciences at the Universities of Basel, Lausanne and Freiburg i. Brsg., he also holds a Masters Degree in Business Engineering from University of St. Gallen and University of St. Clara/CA.
After his studies, Stefan Zanetti worked for seven years in the insurance industry. Finally he held a position as director for the international operational excellence programmes at major Swiss Insurance Group.
He then decided to go back to R&D and moved to the ETH Zurich, where he overtook the responsibility for the research group on smart applications in the insurance industry. In 2005, Stefan Zanetti founded synesix solutions ag - a spin-off of the M-Lab. synesix delivers smart risk-reduction and energy saving solutions to the insurance industry and to utilities.
